I first realized my love for photography as a child when I received a tiny camera in my Easter basket. I went through roll after roll of that 110 film (seems so ancient now!), taking pictures of anything I could, learning as I went and falling more and more in love with the whole process. It was never more than a hobby, though I was always 'that person' who was trying to get everyone together for pictures at family gatherings. Fast forward to nearly 13 years ago, I left a corporate job to raise my family and pursue my passion for photography and have never looked back! I am so thankful to be able to be home with my family and still do what I love. 

Whether it is the excitement of expectant parents, the arrival of a brand new baby, or capturing the milestones and love surrounding these little ones, I truly treasure the time I get to spend with the families I work with. It is always such an honor to be invited into their lives during these special times. The years do pass by so quickly and these precious, fleeting moments will certainly be cherished as our children and families grow.

When I go back through the photographs of my childhood, I am saddened by the fact that my own beautiful mom was usually the photographer and very rarely in the photos. I am on a mission to help us mamas get out from behind the camera and be present in pictures with our little ones and families. Being a mom of 3 myself, I am right at home with the joy, surprises, mischief (and sometimes total chaos!) that children can bring to a session (my 3 can be my toughest customers for sure!!). Understanding this, I strive to create an environment where families can let their hair down, so to speak, and feel comfortable being authentic and real; to simply enjoy the time with their loved ones while we make and capture these memories for them.
