I’ve been getting lots of Senior Session requests this week so I thought I would take a moment to show you what a full Senior gallery looks like. 

This is the beautiful Emma. Her parents are our dear friends and Emma was one of our trusted and amazing babysitters. She is beautiful inside and out and one of the sweetest souls I know.

I was so excited when she picked downtown Newburyport out of my location suggestions and she TOTALLY rocked her session! I felt like I had a supermodel in front of me the whole evening. 

She is an amazing dancer as well and I love that she wanted to incorporate ballet into her session to personalize it even more. We had the most perfect weather and ended the evening with some delicious brick oven pizza and gelato (both are necessities when in Newburyport ;) ).  

During Senior sessions we get a great collection of head shots that meet your specific yearbook requirements as well as lots of fun images to choose from for your own personal collection. Multiple outfits are encouraged!

Christmas sessions this year have been so fun to prepare for! We are in a beautiful new studio space in Bedford, NH. Parking is right outside my front door (and if you have been to my previous studio space, you can understand how exciting that is!).

Back by popular demand are the ‘Out of the Box’ sessions. These sessions have been so fun to put together.  Whether you have 1 child or 5, it takes the stress right out of trying to get everyone sitting still and smiling in the same picture. The fun-sized people can all be in separate images or smaller groupings that interact with siblings/parents in other images. The kids have had so much fun helping to plan these out and choose what they will be doing in each of the squares. Santa can even be added into your grid!

This year we built a snowy birch forest in the studio and it has already been a big hit! The kids have had fun trying to figure out which trees are real and which ones are fake ;) Each of the following sets are large enough to fit families as well! I found this gorgeous old barn wood at a nearby horse farm and it has made the perfect simple, rustic background I was looking for. There are multiple props that can be added in to customize your images as well!

And last but not least, the 2018 Christmas bed. We have done a different decorated bed for the last 2 years of sessions and it is so cute to see all of these little ones in their Christmas outfits or jammies and little bare toes!

So, about 4 or 5 years ago, I stopped taking on weddings so that I could focus on newborns and family sessions, as well as raise my own little family. Every once in a great while, though, the stars align and I am able to say ‘yes!’ to a wedding request. 

I was so honored when Lysandra and her family asked me if I would photograph her wedding. I had not met Chris yet, as he lives in Texas, but kept hearing such wonderful things about him. I got to finally meet him the day of their engagement session, a few months before the wedding, and instantly could see what all the fuss was about! He is the perfect match for her and they are just the sweetest couple.

They have such a beautiful story of how God brought them together and I loved hearing more and more about how their story unfolded, throughout the course of the day. The amazing family members, and friends that have become part of their family, that traveled from all over to be here and stand with them was so wonderful to see.

Possibly my favorite part of shooting a wedding is the formal portraits of all of the family and wedding party. I was so thankful to be able to set up at the beautiful display garden at my family’s farm where I grew up. I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for the pictures, complete with a koi fish pond and the sun peeking through the trees behind us. The lighting was so pretty!
